Effective January 1, 2026

Comfort Summerville Insulation Company, summervilleinsulationcompany.com, office@summervilleinsulationcompany.com

Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of the Comfort Summerville Insulation Company website and any work you hire us to do. By using the site, asking for an estimate or scheduling a job with us, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or book work with us.

If a written estimate or contract you sign with us says something different from these terms, the signed document controls for that job.

What we do

Comfort Summerville Insulation Company is an insulation contractor in Summerville, SC. We're licensed and fully insured. We install and remove insulation in attics, walls, crawl spaces and basements, put in spray foam, blown-in insulation and vapor barriers, and do air sealing to close the gaps where outside air gets in. We do this work for homes and commercial buildings, and you'll find the full list of services on our home page.

The service descriptions on this site are general. The work we do at your property is the work written on your estimate or contract.

We work in Summerville and the cities around it. A city's page on this site doesn't promise we can take every job there, and a city without a page doesn't mean we won't come out.

Estimates and pricing

We give free in-person estimates, with no obligation to hire us. An estimate is based on what our crew can see and reach during the visit, the materials and amounts you choose, and how hard it is to get into the space.

Some problems only show once the work starts, such as soaked or contaminated old insulation, pest damage, rot or wiring that has to be dealt with first. If we find something like that, we'll stop, show you and explain what it changes before doing more, and we won't charge you for added work you haven't approved.

An estimate is good for the period written on it. After that, the price may change because material costs change.

Scheduling, access and cancellation

We'll agree on a date with you and confirm it before the crew comes out. Weather, material delays or an earlier job that runs long can move a date, and we'll tell you as soon as we know.

You agree to give us safe access to the work area and to clear stored items out of the attic, crawl space or rooms we need to reach, or to tell us ahead of time if you'd like us to move them. Some products, spray foam in particular, need everyone in the house, pets included, to stay out for a set time after it goes in, so we'll tell you before the job when it's safe to come back inside, and you agree to follow that.

If you need to cancel or move your date, call us at (843) 285-6022 as early as you can. If you cancel after we've ordered materials for your job or after the crew has arrived, you may be charged for those costs as set out in your estimate or contract.

Payment

The amount you owe and when it's due are written on your estimate or contract, including any deposit. Unless that document says otherwise, the balance is due when the work is finished.

If a payment is late, we may pause any unfinished work until it's paid, and you'll be responsible for reasonable costs of collecting it where South Carolina law allows.

Our guarantee and what isn't warranted

Your satisfaction is guaranteed. If something about our work doesn't look or feel right, call us and we'll come back to look at it.

Any written warranty for a job is the one in your contract. Insulation and sealing products carry their maker's own warranty, which we pass along to you, and the maker's terms decide what that warranty covers.

Apart from those written warranties, and to the extent the law allows, our work and this website come without any other warranties, express or implied. We don't promise a set drop in your power bill or a set temperature upstairs, because those also depend on things outside our work, like your heating and cooling system, your windows and how the house is used.

Limits on our liability

To the extent South Carolina law allows, Comfort Summerville Insulation Company isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, such as lost use of your home or lost income, that come from our work or from this website. Our total liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.

We aren't responsible for conditions that were there before we started, such as existing moisture, mold, pests, roof leaks or faulty wiring, or for damage caused by others who work on the house after us. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that the law doesn't allow a business to limit.

Using this website

What you read on this site is general information about insulation and our services, not advice for your particular house. Please don't copy it for commercial use without our permission.

Any links to other websites are there for convenience. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for what they say.

Resolving a problem

If you have a complaint, please call us at (843) 285-6022 or reach us through our contact page first so we can try to work it out with you directly. Most problems get settled with a visit and a straight conversation.

If we can't settle it that way, either of us may take the matter to a court with jurisdiction in South Carolina.

Governing law

These terms, your use of this website and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time by posting a new version on this page. The version in effect when you sign your estimate or contract applies to that job, and using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

If you have questions about these terms, send them through our contact page. You can also read more about who we are on our About page.
